The Succubus queen

Background

No one knows why, a little over two decades ago, the reality in which we lived was broken. Suddenly, demons from our darkest nightmares, spirits from Purgatory, and angels from Heaven began to walk the Earth. The barriers between Heaven, Hell, and Earth were broken, and the inhabitants of these dimensions entered our world at will.

At the same time, human occultists, students of the paranormal, and followers of New Age doctrines discovered that their spells and supposed powers now really worked. Likewise, ancient curses such as vampirism and lycanthropy awoke. Ghosts occupied their former homes, tormenting their descendants. Witches and neopagan cults sprang up like mushrooms in the fall after the rain.

But the ones who prospered were the demonologists. Many abandoned their occupations and dedicated themselves exclusively to pacts with demons. Pacts with demons became commonplace and could make you very rich in no time. In return, they required adulation, pain, and sex.

A great but brief war broke out between angels and demons. The governments of the most powerful nations on Earth did not know whom to support. An agreement was then signed between the three parties. The angels took possession of all the Christian churches of any denomination and creed, taking care of the cult and displacing priests and pastors. The demons would retreat to their respective neighborhood, located in every city. They would not cause any more large-scale trouble. The planet's nations would disband, and only local governments would be allowed. A single currency was created, the Sterling Eurodollar. Trade between cities continued as usual, but travel became dangerous. For this reason, a Transport Guild was founded, where demons, angels, and humans worked side by side to deliver goods to their respective cities. The cities became small fiefdoms run by corrupt mayors and oligarchic councils, where the civil service was bought with favours of all kinds.

The Vatican was the only nation left intact and recognized, and no one knows why.

And apparently, no one knows the whereabouts of either God or Lucifer.

Finally, an enlightened few realized the new universal truth: "Our beliefs determine our reality."

These are the chronicles of our new world, our new reality, our BLASPHEMOUS CHRONICLES.

The Protagonists

A brief individual description of the main characters in our story.

Blasphemy

Carolina is a corrupt city hall official. She knows how to summon and make pacts with demons intuitively, learning their names through dreams.

Sepultura

Lazarus Tauceskas is a necromancer, an amateur scholar of dead languages. He incarnates spirits in corpses and knows how to animate the dead through his rituals.

Rebeca

Rebeca Tibaut is a ghost. She is Sepultura's youth sweetheart. She can manifest and incarnate recent corpses with the help of Sepultura's rituals.

Don Rogelio

Rogelio Cortés is an undead creature, animated by the rituals of Sepultura. His condition is permanent thanks to the natural mummification of his body. He has more power because he is a Gypsy patriarch than because he is undead.

Ashmodai

Lord of the deadly sin of Lust

One of the most powerful beings in Hell. When the celestial and infernal planes collapsed due to the "accidental" disappearance of Purgatory, he roamed the Earth of mortals.
